This policy covers www.ideawisegroup.com, which is available worldwide.

It is a single informational page. There are no accounts, no forms, no newsletter and nothing to buy, so we never collect anything you type in. There is no list to unsubscribe from because there is no list.

The page links to our job listings on LinkedIn. Once you follow that link you are on LinkedIn's site and their privacy policy applies instead of this one.

Some of what follows depends on where you are. Sections 7 and 8 set out which applies to you.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to count how many people read the page and whether they go on to our job listings. It records an identifier stored on your device, session and page information, your approximate location worked out from your IP address, your browser and device details, and whether you scrolled or clicked through to our LinkedIn jobs page. Google states that it does not log or store IP addresses in Google Analytics 4.

We do not know your name, and we make no attempt to work out who you are. We do not use Google Signals, so nothing here is linked to your Google account or used for advertising.

Hosting and server logs

Our hosting provider records technical information about every request, including your IP address, which page was requested, the time, and your browser identification. This happens for everyone, because the site cannot be delivered or defended without it.

Google Analytics sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_S05L8702FX. Together they let us tell a returning visitor from a new one and keep track of a single visit. Both expire two years after your last visit.

We use no other cookies, and none for logins, personalisation or advertising.

If you would rather we did not count you, you can set your browser to refuse cookies from this site, or opt out of Google Analytics on every site you visit using Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising.

Two providers process it on our behalf under written data processing agreements: our analytics provider, named in section 3, and our hosting provider. Both are US companies, so your data may be processed in the United States as well as in Europe.

Where data leaves the European Economic Area, we rely on the transfer safeguards set out in our data processing agreements with each provider.

Analytics data is kept in Google Analytics for 14 months, after which Google deletes it.

Server logs are held by our hosting provider for the standard retention period of our hosting plan. We do not export them, extend that period, or keep our own copy.

The GDPR and the UK GDPR give you specific rights, and we rely on specific legal bases.

Legal bases

• Analytics. Our legitimate interest in understanding whether the page is read and whether it leads people to our job listings, Article 6(1)(f). You can object to this, see below.
• Hosting and server logs. Our legitimate interest in delivering and defending the site, Article 6(1)(f).

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of what we hold about you (Article 15), correct it (16), delete it (17), restrict how we use it (18), or send it to you in a portable format (20). You can also object to processing we base on legitimate interests, which includes the analytics described above (21).

Write to the address in section 1 and we will answer within one month.

You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, either where you live or where you think the problem happened.

We are a Hong Kong company, and the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance governs how we handle your data.

Wherever you are, you can write to the address in section 1 and ask what we hold about you or ask us to delete it. We will do our best to help, whether or not the law where you live requires it.

If we start collecting something different, or change who processes it, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
